Submerge Productions is a group of Belgian divers specialised in technical diving. Their diving career progressed from a hobby to a real job. They invested in rebreathers, training and video/audio equipment.
The website was launched in December 2007, because they wanted to share their adventures, experience and footage with other fellow divers. The website immediately became a big hit.
Using state of the art high definition video cameras and SLR photo cameras, Submerge Productions brings you high quality footage and pictures from all over the world. A separate feed focuses on local diving, cold water diving in their backyard pond, which is the Benelux. It covers items such as North Sea wreck dives, specific Oosterschelde fauna and diving in quarries in the Ardennes.
While the underwater adventures are ultimately the core interest of the team, they also started a section on Interviews. When visiting multiple dive shows in Germany, The Netherlands and the UK, they were able to prise manufacturers and dive gurus away from their stand. Discussing new dive gear in front of the camera, elaborating on their latest expedition allowed them to spread the word to a much larger audience. In the meantime the Submerge Productions Team has connections in the diving industry all over the world.
The full Submerge Productions team consists of underwater cameraman Peter Cabus, lights and soundman Stefan ‘Apo’ Crab and host and video editor Liesbeth Liekens. Other members Steven Galicia, Steven Tolleneer, Martijn Van Reijen and Merijn Sep will act as deep divers and extra safety divers during their dive expeditions.
Submerge Productions is also one of the founders of SVARnet.
